Sports Injury/Optimization
Dr. DiMartino has had the pleasure of treating many athletes throughout his career. He has provided chiropractic care to adolescent athletes, high school and college stars, and even professional athletes. He has obtained his CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) certificate along with CKTP (Certified KinesioTaping Practitioner) certificate equipping him with the latest knowledge and tools needs to treat today's athlete. He has a passion for playing sports and being active himself. In his dedication to physical fitness he enjoys playing golf, racquetball, weight and cardio training, cycling, and swimming. As a former collegiate athlete himself, he understands the importance of returning to sport quickly following an injury.
Not only is Dr. DiMartino focused on getting the athlete back on the field as soon as possible after injury but he is focused on improving their game as well with sports optimization exercises, nutritional counseling, improving flexibility, and improving form by allowing their joints to function optimally. Dr. DiMartino has developed a patent pending system and protocols for strengthening and rehabilitating his patients called The Spyderwall.
Most people believe that once they have had an injury that joint or tissue is now a weakness for them. They assume that twisting an ankle means that the ankle will always be weaker. This statement is not true. With proper care and training that ankle can be as strong, if not stronger, than before the injury. This is where Dr. DiMartino excels at treating the athlete. His goal is to first heal what was injured and then find and fix possible factors that may have contributed to the injury, thus avoiding re-injury.
